Very much like this site that will constantly be under construction, so am I.....
Each day I am reminded that something completely new and exciting can be found if my eyes and heart is open to it. Each day presents itself with yet another opportunity to discover something new about the world I live in and maybe a thing or two about myself as well in the process.....
We live in a time when it is becoming increasingly more difficult to just stay afloat or even just tread water, much less forge ahead on our own personal journeys. We get lost in the day to day struggles to survive and it is becoming increasingly an effort to not lose ourselves in it all. In an effort to slow down enough to get out of the fast lane and have a look around, I find through my photography and paintings a vehicle which allows me to do just this. I can freeze a moment in suspended time and preserve its life as I remembered it the second its impression inspired me for the very first time. Each moment captured leaves an imprint on the soul long after the physical one has disappeared....
Whether it be a 1000 pound Alaskan Brown Bear or a little lady bug working on a single speck of pollen, the curve of a woman’s hips or the freedom in a child’s gaze; art gives us all a deeper look at who we are and helps us slow down just enough to grant us the perspective that allows us to feel alive. It creates a pause; one that will hopefully point us back on our own path....
On this site you can see most of the things that inspire me. My hope is to provide you with a visual and auditory experience possibly offering an escape to a common place in your heart, if even only for a brief time. Most images usually have a little story that goes along and I added a blog section about certain photos for interested readers. I will try to revolve sets of images as much as possible, but please feel free to request or ask for any subjects which you may be looking for. I will be happy to search through the archives and look for you as well....
